RESIN VS METALLIC BRAKES PADS
These brake pads are resin (organic) brake pads. The advantages of Resin Brake Pads are:
- Quiter
- More initial bite/stopping power (especially if kept scuffed/cleaned)
- Less rotor wear
- Better in dry conditions
The advantages of Metalic Brake Pads are:
- Longer Life (as resin pads wear faster)
- More consistent stopping power (e.g. in rain/mud/throughout lifespan)
- Typically better if very hot (downhill riding)
