Work Experience Placements with Electric Pedal Power

At this stage, Electric Pedal Power is no longer offering public workshops. Instead, we are actively working together with local secondary schools to provide Year 10 and Year 11 work experience placements, generally for 1–2 days per week.

Our work experience placements are a great opportunity for students who are interested in electric bikes, e-bike repairs, electric bike conversions, bicycle mechanics, electronics, engineering, or the growing electric mobility industry. Students can gain an insight into how a real local business operates, while learning about the practical side of working with electric bikes and related products.

Based in Cranbourne West, Melbourne’s south-east, Electric Pedal Power is a growing electric bike shop and workshop specialising in electric bike conversion kits, e-bike components, battery-related services, electric motors, and electric mobility products. We work with a wide range of customers, from people looking for affordable electric bikes near me to those interested in upgrading an existing bicycle with an electric bike conversion kit.

Depending on the placement and the student’s interests, work experience may provide exposure to areas such as electric bike assembly, e-bike components, workshop organisation, customer service, product preparation, basic mechanical tasks, and how an electric bike business operates day to day. Placements are intended to provide students with a practical introduction to the industry and an understanding of the different skills involved in running a specialist electric bike business.

We are particularly interested in hearing from students who are enthusiastic, willing to learn, and curious about how things work. Whether your interest is in electric bikes, bicycle mechanics, electrical systems, engineering, or hands-on technical work, we would be happy to hear from you.
